LADIES AND GENTLEMEN - START YOUR ENGINES!!!!! The Hanson’s track in Orwell, Vt. looked like a raceway this past weekend as they hosted a “tech weekend” for GSMSRC. When the cars lined up out
on the track for practice, it looked like a New England raceway. Many
spectators stopped along the highway to watch the mini sprints make
their way around the ¼ mile track. What an impressive group of cars
and drivers from across Vermont and New Hampshire.
Thank you to all who attended.
The weekend event was not only intended to give the drivers an
opportunity to get the tech sheet done on each car but also a chance
to get them on the track. It’s just like the “real deal” with the cars
being pushed off to make sure they are race ready!
The veterans enjoyed the chance to fly around the track and the rookies enjoyed getting all the experience they could get running lap after lap.
Everyone is very excited about our first race,
the “Spring Madness Opener”,
this Saturday at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt.

In support of the “SPRING MADNESS OPENER” race at Bear Ridge Speedway on May 19th, the mini sprint club has had an ongoing raffle since our first car show this year. The 2 items being raffled were donated by Grace’s Radio Shack in New London, NH. The winning tickets for the GPS system and the DVD player were drawn at the show by Ernie Griffin, Marketing and VIP at BRS. Ed Fabian of Rutland, Vt. won the GPS system and Dan Rock of Enfield, NH won the DVD player. Thank you to all who bought tickets and supported this event.
Special thanks to Bear Ridge Speedway for the plaques that were given
out to the participants and also to The Home Depot for being great hosts
and for providing a gift for each car that was in attendance and the popcorn and ice cream!

They have been good enough to put on this event for us and we should try to make things run as smoothly as possible for them. You can contact Armand Boisvert or Steve Hutchinson to set a time that will allow you to get your car done ahead of time if you’re not able to make the specified tech days listed. Let’s try for 100% compliance!
